The Championship will be organised by the Lagos Sailing Club (CVL - Clube de Vela de Lagos), which has already organised major sailing race courses. The Portuguese Dart Association (APCDC - Associação Portuguesa da Classe Dart - Catamarã), the Southern Sailing Association (ARVS - Associação Portuguesa de Vela do Sul) and the Portuguese Sailing Federation (FPV - Federação Portuguesa de Vela) will also support the championship. The Jury will consist of Portuguese members certified by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and by the Portuguese Sailing Association (FPV). The Lagos Fire Departement will provide Medical Assistance and the Life Guards (ISN - Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos) will be in charge of safety while sailing. Both institutions will be trained to deal with catamarans. There will be a Press Room and food and lodging will be offered to the main national and international mass media. Invitations will be sent to the major sport media such as: Eurosport, DSF, and so on. Posters, stickers, sportswear, promotional photos and films from several championships will be handed over during the Event. On the sea In the Racing Area there will be a suitable boat for the race committee, as well as an extra race committee boat. Three or more inflatable dinghies will be provided to place the buoys and flags. Another three inflatable dinghies will insure the competitors' safety. The organising authority will also provide for journalists, VIPs and official sponsors' vessel. The Marina de Lagos fingers will be available for all the organising authority vessels mooring. The moorings will be close to the Dart Headquarters. On Land The Dart Village will be in Praia da Solaria, close to the clubhouse in front of the racing area. There you can find the Race Office and a room for the race committee. Close to the clubhouse is Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, a historical building which will work as the International Jury and Protest Room. You can also find some leisure areas here as well as food and drinks. You can either stay in a Camping and Caravaning Park or in one of the relaxing and attractive hotels of Lagos (five minute walk from the Dart Village). All the competitors will be able to buy any piece of equipment from Bicasco - Dart and Laser exclusive dealers and importers for Portugal. Repairs will be possible as well – 24 Hours! For more complicated repairs there will be an expert in fibreglass ready to help and available 24 hours a day! A Container Park will be provided if needed. Finally a First Aid tent and an ambulance at all the competitors and families' service will be available.
